GENERAL Fallen Angels are the result of an aged and powerful Vampire biting into an equally powerful Angel. Under regular circumstances, the infection would simply kill the Angel, as it would any animal. There are, of course, exceptions to every rule.
The Angels is transformed, turned as human would be. Wing color fades to white or black depending on if the original was light or dark. The Angel becomes undead, as a Vampire, fangs and all. They no longer breath, and require blood. Lots of blood. Fallen Angels require supernatural blood to slake their thirst. Either that of Vampires or Angels will suffice, some have preference in taste, some not. The difference lies in the quantity of blood which is required. Where a Vampire would require about a cup (250ml) of blood a week, and could possibly go up to two weeks without, the Fallen Angels require about a cup a day. A Fallen Angel could go no longer than 3 days without, and this is with the strongest willpower. Going longer than this has catastrophic effects upon the Fallen Angel. The mind begins to hallucinate. Sanity slowly creeps away, traded for an insufferable rage. Feathers begin to fall from the Fallen's wings. And as the Fallen Angels are undead, these feathers do not replenish, making each loss irreversible.
Fallen Angels possess the speed of a Vampire of equal age, in addition to the strength of their former self. This makes the ones that survive the infection incredibly dangerous to all.Fallen Angels do possess fangs, but cannot sire as the ones that sired them could. The infection that they pass on is too potent; the venom too toxic. Any human or Angel bitten by a Fallen Angel dies without question inside of a few days. Being undead, Vampires and other Fallen bear no side effects.
APPEARANCE Sometimes mistaken for regular Angels in conditions of poor lighting, Fallen Angels look most like that which they used to be. Their skin grows incredibly pale, while their wings fade to white, black and shades of grey. Other than their newly acquired fangs, a Fallen would look like any other Angel. It is also common for hair to darken during this process as well, though this does not always hold true.
Fallen Angels often choose to retain their equipment after turning. After all, their centuries of training with what they own makes it ideal. Sometimes armour is left behind in place of something new, something more mobile. Sometimes new weapons are also acquired. This depends upon the choices made by the Fallen after transformation.
SOCIETY
Fallen Angels are an interesting situation to behold. None of the other races would dare harbor such powerful entities for various reasons. It's destructive and chaotic nature to start, and its uncontrollable blood lust another. This especially holds true for Vampire and Angels, as humans need not fear being drained of their blood.
However, just as they are feared by everyone, they are also revered. They are undoubtedly the greatest individual force around, able to both outrun a Vampire and beat down an Angel. There are those who look to the Fallen as the ones that will push the war to one side, holding this much sway over the world around them. They are handled with great care.
Angels in particular look down upon the Fallen. They are seen as those who were too weak to fight off the Vampires, unknowing that it is actually their remarkable initial power that kept them alive in the first place. Fallen also often choose to shun the Angels ways, leaving the Angels to shun them back.
Vampires do not know what to make of the Fallen. They're beautiful, gothic, and powerful - desirable traits among Vampires. And yet, Vampires compose of half of their diet. They're like a forbidden fruit. A blood sucking, forbidden fruit. Many Vampires find themselves entrapped by the beauty of a Fallen just as humans are with Vampires.
Fallen Angels vary between the rare few that exist. Some try to preserve their old, Angelic ways, while some take up whole new lives. Taking up forbidden weaponry and tactics, using their wings to the fullest, even lashing out at their previous race for forsaking them. They still do not, however, begin to love others, nor do they have much care for human technology.
Fallen Angels have no society of their own. They are completely nomadic, venturing anywhere they can sustain themselves. They rarely travel in groups, or live with groups, finding that their life-style is too chaotic and dangerous to allow such a thing of someone else.
Fallen Angels have no clear alignment in the war. None such Fallen have successfully been swayed to any side of the war, and it is uncertain if they ever will. As of now, everyone and everything is an enemy, as basically everyone wants to either use the Fallen, or kill them.
