2012, Los Angeles is torn asunder when the Pacific Ring of Fire finally erupts - releasing demons of hell to spew forth from the San Andreas Fault. Angels fell from the skies to stop them in a battle akin to Armageddon, raining like celestial stars that created just as much destruction as their demon counterparts. To keep the war from spilling over into the world, an entrapment ward was placed around the whole of the city - now an island floating free in a torrent, black ocean. With angels and demons alike trapped within the confines, their Day of Reckoning must be put on hold in order for anyone to survive.
2030, a truce has been made and pacts have been sealed between the factions, and repairs to the city have been put underway. But there is still no way for the Denizens of Heaven and Hell to return to their homes. Surviving in Los Angeles has never been more treacherous. Where making a deal with an angel is just as dangerous as selling your soul to a demon. The war is far from over...
